 Sherrie and David Crompton have a passion for creating unique and welcoming dining experiences, leading to the establishment of four distinctive businesses that have become local favorites.

Mystic Depot Roasters was founded in 2015, marking the beginning of their journey into the culinary world. With a focus on delivering exceptional coffee and a cozy atmosphere, Mystic Depot Roasters quickly became a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy expertly brewed beverages and a sense of community.

Building on the success of Mystic Depot Roasters, Sherrie and David launched Anchor Cafe & Sweets in 2021. This charming cafe brought a new twist to the area with its delicious homemade pastries, sweets, and all-day breakfast options. Known for its friendly staff and welcoming vibe, Anchor Cafe & Sweets has established itself as a go-to destination for those seeking a delightful treat or a casual meal.

In the same year, the couple expanded their culinary ventures with Mystic Caterers, offering a comprehensive range of catering services for all types of events. Mystic Caterers quickly earned a reputation for delivering high-quality, beautifully crafted dishes that make every occasion special, from weddings to corporate gatherings and family celebrations.

Most recently, Sherrie and David opened Anchor Dockside in the spring of 2024. Nestled in a picturesque dockside location, this restaurant brings a blend of classic and modern dining to Groton Long Point, featuring a 1950s renovated retro soda fountain that adds a nostalgic touch. Anchor Dockside serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering incredible food, refreshing beverages, and a delightful creamery, all served with the exceptional hospitality that the Cromptons are known for.
